Zerynns day back
It was morning time in Phoenix rise. When Zerynn woke up she thought yesterday after Laurance and baylie left she had made a fool out of herself for letting someone see her when she was weak. But she smiled when she saw conor and Shelby sleeping by her side all night.
As soon as she left the house Laurance was waiting for her by the front door of her house.
“Hey, how are you doing.” asked Laurance.
“Good. there is still a slight pain in my back, but thanks for your help” replied Zerynn.
“That's good. Lord Katlyenn has something she wants to show you” said Laurance.
“Ohh. okay” said Zerynn.
“Follow me. By the way that book was a great help.”said Laurance.
“Did you write it” asked Laurance
“No. my sister did she wrote it to help me with my powers” replied Zerynn.
“So she tried to help you” asked Laurance.
“So how do you know Aaron” asked Laurance.
“Yeah she did try to help, and about Aaron he is my brother” said Zerynn.
“Well kinda, he was my sister's husband” added Zerynn.
“Ohh so he’s family” asked Laurance.
“Yeah kinda I don't really have a family” said Zerynn.
“Yeah you do your brother Conor” said Laurance.
“I guess you're right. What did lord katlyenn want to show me” asked Zerynn.
“You’ll have to see” said Laurance.
“Because we are at the spot she wanted to meet us at” added Laurance.
“That is” asked Zerynn.
“Were all the shadow knights live” said Laurance.
“So is this where you live”asked Zerynn.
“No I don't I live with Garroth” said Laurance.
When Katlyenn met them at the shadow knight hotel. Katlyenn filled in Zerynn what they use the full shadow knights for and why these shadow knights are in the village.
“So you use them as spies toward the Shadow king” Asked Zerynn
“Your descendant yes we do” said Katlyenn
“Will you stop saying stuff like that please yes I Might be a descendant of the shadow king but I am still my own person” said Zerynn.
“Yes sorry. I will” apologise Katlyenn.
“Now let's go in” said Katlyenn.
“GENE” yelled Laurance.
“What Lorracne” Asked Gene.
“COME HERE” Yelled Lorracne.
“Why” asked Gene
“Lord Katlyenn wants you to meet some one” replied Laurance.
“UGGG. I am coming” said Gene
“Good” said Lord Katlyenn.
Gene came down stairs all sweaty, because he was working on his strength by sword fighting.
“What were you doing that you're so sweaty” asked Laurance.
“I um was uh sword fighting” said Gene nervously staring at Zerynn.
“This is Zerynn” said Katlyenn.
“STOP LOOKING AT HER LIKE THAT” yelled Laurance.
“AT WHO!? ” yelled back Gene
“Zerynn” yelled Laurance.
“SERIOUSLY!? I WASN’T LOOKING AT HER ” yelled Gene.
“YES YOU WERE” yelled Laurance.
“OKAY KNOCK IT OFF” screamed Zerynn
“WHO CARES IF SOMEONE IS STARING AT ME” yelled Zerynn.
“feisty one isn't she” asked Gene.
“You should have see her on the way over here” said Laurance.
“What did you get beat up by a girl” asked Gene Sarcastically.
“Pff. no I did not. I. have. no. idea. what. you. are. talking. about.” said Laurance.
“You did Didn’t you” said Gene jokingly
“Did you beat him up” asked Gene
“I did, but if you're not careful I will do the same to you” threatened Zerynn.
“Fisty I love it” said Gene.
“In your dreams mister” said Zerynn
“Call me Gene” said Gene with a smirky charm.
“Fine I will call you Gene” giggled Zerynn.
“You have a great smile and laugh” said Gene.
“STOP FLIRTING WITH HER” screamed Katlyenn.
“Fine I will stop talking then” said Gene.
“So how was the netherlands what are your updates on the shadow king” asked Katlyenn.
Gene just stood there silently being the smart alec he is.
“Gene I just said stop flirting I never said to stop talking” explained Katlyenn.
Still nothing from Gene.
“Ohh so your being loyal to the shadow king now I see how it is... “ katlyenn started to say but was interrupted.
“NO WAIT… I am not the, shadow knights are still trying find the shadow king a human form” informed Gene.
“That isn’t new but thanks” Said katlyenn.
“That's not it my lord” cried Gene
“They got Zenixx” blurted out Gene.
“What he was one of our best spies” ordered Laurance.
“I know that” yelled Katlyenn.
“Zerynn what should we do” asked Laurance and Katlyenn.
“I don’t know the netherlands that well” explained Zerynn.
“Yes but you know more about the shadow king more than anyone” said Laurance.
“I don’t even know that” cried Zerynn.
“Just because I am a descendant doesn’t mean that I know any more than you do” Zerynn strongly said.
“But if it were me I would leave him there because the shadow king already knows that he is a spy” explained Zerynn.
“But if we do get him he wouldn’t be of use for you so he would become a normal guard or something” added Zerynn.
“That's true I say we should leave him that way when Gene goes back into the netherlands he will be permanent eyes but if gene blows his cover as a spy get Zenixx out of there and you head straight to the portal and close it” planned Katlyenn.
“Yeah I probably shouldn’t go back to the netherlands for a while” said Gene shyly.
“WHY… WHAT DID YOU DO” order Katlyenn
“Well, I kinda showed my face to the shadow king and blew mine and Zenixx cover, and they also might kill Zenixx if he doesn’t tell where our rogue shadow knight base is and…” said Gene.
“We need to get them out where's your shadow knight suit” asked Zerynn.
“Up stairs, why” asked Gene.
“I will go and get him” she told Gene.
“Wait you don’t know the Neth..er, I should probably let her go shouldn’t I” asked Gene.
“Well I mean she is already going to get you suit” said Laurance.
“This will be her first training quest” said katlyenn.
“Yeah the hardest one you could find” shouted Gene.
“What she wanted to do this so I am letting her, if she completes it successfully and also comes back alive she will be the head guard” bribed Katlyenn.
“What Garroth worked so hard to become the head guard you can't just take that away from him” argued Laurance.
After Laurance and katlyenn were done arguing Zerynn came down stairs with Genes shadow knight Armor. Gene blushed a bright red on how good she looked in his Armor. The red of the suit made her eyes look good.
“You look beautiful” complemented Gene.
“Thanks but a good luck would be better” corrected Zerynn.
“How would you like to be head Guard” asked Katlyenn.
“Isn’t Garroth head Guard” asked Zerynn.
“Yeah” answered Katlyenn.
“Then no I would like to be second in command though” requested Zerynn.
“Deal complet this successfully and that position will be yours” said Katlyenn.
“Okay I am out wish me luck” said Zerynn.
“Good luck” said Laurance.
“WAIT LET ME SHOW YOU WHERE THE PORTAL” yelled Gene.
“I have to get some supplies from my house first” stated Zerynn
“I will follow you then” said Gene
“Okay then” said Zerynn.
Zerynn went to her house with Gene following her, she said hello to Aaron, and the children. She grabbed her sword, and some snack food. She put them into a small bag and hid them in the Armor because Gene is a little bigger than she is so she has enough room for one.
“Is that man in the other room you boyfriend” asked Gene.
“Who Aaron. No just a travel buddy, we came to the village together” explained Zerynn.
“So other than a travel buddy what is he” asked Gene.
“He is like an older brother to me because he married my sister and she just recently passed away” said Zerynn
“I… I am soo sorry I didn’t know” apologised Gene
“It's fine there was no way you could have known” said Zerynn.
“You think of me as a brother” asked Aaron.
“If you don't want me to I don’t have to” said Zerynn sadly.
“No it's fine I just didn’t think you liked me that much, I thought that you were blaming me for you sister death” said Aaron.
“I don't blame anyone for her death other than the person who actually did it” said Zerynn.
“Oh okay, by the way where are you going” asked Aaron
“I am going on a quest, to the netherlands ” said Zerynn.
“WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO THE netherlands ” yelled Aaron.
“Yeah I am” said Zerynn.
“Is he going with you” asked Aaron.
“He is going to lead me to the netherlands portal” explained Zerynn
“But he will not be going in with me” she added
“Then take my sword, the netherlands is dangerous and I know I can't stop you from going” said Aaron.
“You can't trust me I tried” Commented Gene.
“I figured she is really stubborn” said Aaron.
“And she likes to beat people up as well i’m guessing” asked Gene.
“Yeah she likes to beat up people, just look at Laurance” said Aaron.
“Here take my sword” said Aaron.
“Okay why don't you need it” asked Zerynn
‘There is swords in the guard towers” said Aaron.
“Why don’t I get one of those instead” asked Zerynn
“Because that sword is stronger than the ones in the guard tower” said Gene.
“Bye Aaron” said Zerynn.
“Be safe please” begged Aaron.
“No promises” said Zerynn.
“Well then good luck” added Aaron.
After Zerynn was done saying goodbye to Aaron Conor and Shelby her and Gene set of to the far left gate that had a cave near the docks. They walked pass a small forest of trees and the training station. They walked by the shore of the ocean, and the took a break there and watched the horizon for about twenty minutes. When the twenty minutes were over they started walking again, they had about a mile to the netherlands portal, so they decided that it would be best to get to know each other.
“How old are you” asked Gene.
“Twenty why” asked Zerynn.
“How old are you” she added.
“Twenty-one” answered Gene.
“Where did you come from” asked Gene.
“My Mother” said Zerynn with a smart alec voice.
“Haha very funny I mean before you and Aaron came to the village where did you come from” asked Gene again.
The smile on her face disappeared when Gene clarified his question. She looked sad and embarrassed but if she wanted Gene to trust her so she had to answer.
“Have you herd any rumors about nearby villages” asked Zerynn.
“Yeah Lord Katlyenn informed us about Falcon-claw why” he asked.
“What was the rumor that you heard about Falcon-claw” Zerynn went on.
“The Lord and the sister of the Lord went crazy and killed everyone” said Gene.
“You know those rumors aren't correct right” asked Zerynn.
“I am sure they aren't but intell Lord Katlyenn tells me other wise I have nothing to go off of” said Gene.
“So my question again is where did you come from” said Gene.
“I will tell you once you ask Katlyenn about the rumors alright” said Zerynn.
“Deal” compromised Gene.
After that conversation was over the area went quiet again and they just walked until they had reached the cave that was hiding the portal. Gene pulled the lever that opened up the stone wall to keep any of the shadow knights from returning. Zerynn held up her sword and prepared to fight if she had two. But the area stayed quiet, once the doors were opened Gene showed Zerynn were to find the hidden button to let her out when she was done, he handed her a amulet and told her if she was in trouble to smash it and he will come and get her. Then Zerynn walked inside of the cave and up to the portal and looked at it, as if she was trying to build up the courage to walk in.
