CHS Story 1

A New Beginning! June 15th. 2017

I’m an eighth grader but it’s the end of the school year, there’s like two and a half weeks of school left. Then I’m going to be a freshmen at a new school in a new neighborhood because did I mention I’m moving. We are moving to a small town known as Turner, when I say we I mean me, my sister, my mom and my dad.
My little sister Annie is excited to move but I’m not, to be completely honest I’m nervous, but who wouldn’t be when they know they are going from the top to the bottom. I live in north east salem on plow Ct. It’s a grey almost purple house with a beat up yard. If you're wondering the part of Salem where I lived was in hood territory. You know the Nick Kasye gang. The Jayce Mason gang. Those to people used to be friends but I guess no there not because they are into separate gangs now. The gangs are what made my parents want to move because they said it’s not a good thing to have them around when you're that young. But the truth is I’ve met Nick Kasye and her gang back when Jayce Mason was apart of them and they seem like nice kids. I kinda had a crush on her friend Sal for a little bit. That's how I met my good friends Tito and Jesse and Jayden. Tito is obsessed with stealing cakes and other sweets so everyone calls him the cake thief. I think Jayden is from Turner but I can’t remember.
We are supposed to be out of the house by June 16th and that's tomorrow but I’m helping my family move today, so I can't even say goodbye to my friends. We have the inside of the house all painted and stuff but it doesn't feel like home yet, I have lived 14 years in the other house and they just picked me up and moved me, I guess the only good thing about this year is that I’m going to high school.
I was sitting in the car on the way to my new house and I thought about that time when Nick Kasye and her gang was playing truth or dare with Tito and Jesse and Tito was dared to shoot a ball in the hoop that the adults were playing at. It was really funny she said some not so nice words about them and one of the guys heard them and walked over to use and everyone was getting ready to fight but that guy was dumb and believed her lie and walked back to his basketball game. Jesse was mad that he was called a woss.  He was the Emo kid in the group. But he looks the most dangerous because know one knows what he’s thinking. Tito on the other hand is also hard to read and tougher but he's not as dangerous as Jesse.
So I’m sitting in the back of the truck thinking about all the good things that went on in this neighborhood and how much I’m going to miss it. My mom’s making fun of me because I’m writing this all in my Diary but what the Hell I don't care.  This DIary has helped me alot these past month. My sister Annie has been mean lately and acting all cool and stuff but that’s how she normally acts. She’s not in the car with me but she’s still annoying.
When we got to the new house we started to unpack the trailers. We started with the furniture and went on from there. It took two loads to get everything from the old house to the new and when I mean two loads I mean three trailers full twice. It was really chaotic.  I kinda fell asleep.  When we first moved into the house we had to replace the floors because it looked like someone died and decomposed in the house and the house smelled like cat piss.

After living in the house we a month we went on a camping trip to randle washington with me and my parents, my grandparents and my aunt and uncles. We went on hikes and went swimming and other things like that. It was fun for the most part except for the hiking and that wasn’t fun until the walk back because I walked with my dad and that was because he made a whole bunch of jokes.  After the two weeks spending the in washington me my sister and my cousin loaded up in my grandparents truck. We spent twelve hours in that small truck watching cartoons and movies. It was a long drive but we survived it I think.

Cake!!

I love cake. I love sweets. I also love to steal things. I put those to together and now I steal cakes and other sweets, thats why they call me the cake thief. Its very rare that someone get’s an nickname where I’m from so I’m honored to have such a nickname but your nickname is what defines you here, so I’m a little let down but o’well. Life as a hood isn't as bad as one might think., and i’m talking about the jail time. Just be smart enough to not get caught. Its that simple.
My brother and I are close friends with the nick kasye gang. Just incase your wondering I’m a sophmore in highschool and she a junior. Just in case you're wondering me and Jesse are twins. Hes Emo looking and dangerous and I’m playful up until you piss me off.

Why?!

It's cold but warm outside. It’s not so cold it’s warm kinda day, it's the cold in the shade and warm in the sun till a cloud covers it kinda day.  Anyway my name Is Denver and my best friend's name is Edward. Edwards parents died when he was five years old and ever since then he’s been living across the hallway of my bed room. My dad works two jobs and my mom in no longer with us. So It's just me my dad and Edward and my mom’s looking down upon us. We live on a crappy part of town where us hoods like to hang and live. I hate living on this side of town everyone is into fighting and gangs where I hate being a hood, because it’s a classification here and not only that it's a lifestyle. Just because we live on the poor side of town doesn't mean you're a hood. But not everyone would agree with me when I say that. So I try to keep up my bad boy rep and try not to get to hurt. But Edward on the other hand he loves being a hood. He likes fights and he is definitely in the Thug life, lifestyle but I don't see what the big deal is. Being a hood is hard because people are more warey of you and will watch you like a hawk, and that makes it hard to go in shops and actually buy something without someone kicking you out of the store because they think you are going to shoplift them. Not all Hoods do that. Hell I don’t even do that, Edward does he steals anything that isn’t tied down. He says it apart of the Pearson Bloodline which isn’t surprising because his parents died in a gang fight.

About Edward Pearson

Other than Edward comes from a long line of hard core Hoodlums on his mom’s side but his dad was a different story, he wasn’t a hard core hoodlum his dad was a small town poor boy who moved to Tulsa Oklahoma when he was sixteen years old, his first job was at Mcdonald's, his dad Jason met his mom at school one day.
Edward reads his Mom's journal all the time it talks a lot about Hoods and Gangs and his dad it says “that he was the good looking type and the first day of school he had a whole bunch of girls on him and His eyes landed on her” I think that she had a major crush on him. After they got together later in the year, they had dated for a few months, she described all of her dates in complete detail and when she turned seventeen she found out she was Pregnant with Edward, she was happy and scared at the same time, she told Jason later on he was scared but he wasn’t they type to just leave, and He loved her to much to leave, they got married at eighteen and bought a small two bedroom and one bathroom house in the hood territory.

Five years past and she got pregnant again but she had to fight in a gang fight and she died by a gunshot in the stomach which made her bleed out.  His father died by a gunshot right next to her in the head. She died holding his hand. After that Edward moved in with me and my father where he considered a second home and soon to be first, he was raised by my father.
