The Big Problem (4)
It was morning. The orange-blue sky was approaching. The babies were staying quiet as the sunlight was reflecting a graceful orangeorange on their cute babies faces. Zerynn and Aaron had full stomachs and Conor and Selby were snuggling asleep into Zerynns warm loving arms. They had stocked up on food and supplies and looked at the map again and headed in the direction of Phoenix’s Rise.
They started up a steep mountain and the temperature was starting to drop by the second. This mountain was one of the biggest mountains in the world, this mountain also separated the forest and the snowy plains.
“Is it me, or did the temperature just drop a couple degrees?” asked Zerynn.
“It has. You're not imagining thing. It's really getting cold.” said Aaron.
At this point they were making their way up the mountain. Not just any mountain, the tallest mountain in the world. When they reached the top, they realized the whole valley on the other side was covered in snow. There was miles and miles of snow.
Shiver, shiver, shiver. Zerynn was cold and freezing, but she had to power through.
“It’s getting dark.” said Zerynn.
“ We can't make camp here.” said Aaron.
“Why not?”asked Zerynn
.Because if we sleep here we could get hypothermia and die. We need to keep the children warm but even then keep the children warm. .” said Aaron, caution.
“Here, take my jacket.” said Aaron.
“No, you need it.” said Zerynn.
“Your shivering, take it.” said Aaron.
“Fine. I will but if I see a single goose bump I will give you your jacket back.” said Zerynn.
“Deal.” said Aaron.
Then he took off his sweatshirt and gave it to Zerynn. He pulled out his sword and was aware that something wasn’t right about this area. Not only was it snowy, but it was all white. Not even a single green spot. So polar bears could easily camouflage in with the snow and they wouldn’t know if they were there. It would have been even worse if they had a cub. They would surely attack if there was a cub. Not only that, it was getting dark, which meant bandits. If you're not careful they will come up behind you and shoot you with their bows and arrows then steal all your valuables and your tools. Zerynn quickly and quietly put on Aaron’s jacket and it was warm. Then she grabbed something for the children and put it on them.
“Aaron can you carry one of the babies?” asked Zerynn.
“Sure.” said Aaron
“Thanks.” said Zerynn
When she gave Shelby to Aaron, Zerynn quickly grabbed her sword from her belt and put it in her hands. Her sword was purple and the handle black. It also had a black jewel towards the base of the sword. Aaron’s sword was all purple. They both had purple swords because the color purple was a sign of a Realm breaker.
Now that Zerynn and Aaron both had their swords out they could protect their children. In the distance there was a campfire glow that was a great sight to see. They could also hear the sound of laughter in the same direction. What a great sound to hear.
Aaron looked into Zerynn’s eyes. “Wow. you have a purple eye now. What does that mean? It's beautiful. Anyway I think that we should go towards the campfire glow. Not only is it warm, we could maybe ask to camp there with the people. IIf they will let us,, we could stay with them.” said Aaron.
“Yeah,, we should go towards the camp.. Maybe they can help us.. I don't know what the purple eye means.. II have had this purple eye for as long as I can remember.. II would know because I have been living my whole life trying to hide it.. If it does have a meaning,, maybe Lily’s notebook can help us decide what that means.. I will look when we have a home. But thanks for saying it was beautiful,, it makes me feel better about not hiding it..” said Zerynn.
“Okay. Will do.. I will deal with it until then.. You're welcome.. It's a part of you. You. You shouldn’t hide it.” said Aaron.
Then there was a small moment of silence as they grew closer and closer to the camp. When they arrived at they arrived at the camp they raised their swords to protect themselves and the babies if they had to, as they got closer to the flame there was a man with white hair and green eyes, another man with blond hair and blue eyes, and next to him was a man with light brown hair with one eye blue and the other one green. Sitting in the middle of the white haired man and the blond haired man was a woman and she had blue hair with bright blue eyes.
“Don’t let your guard down ever” Aaron said.
“Noted” said Zerynn said.
*Crunch crack* Aaron had just stepped on a stick.
“Who’s there” a woman's voice said.
“Crap” said Aaron quietly.
“Show yourselves” said a man's voice this time.
“Sorry to bother you but me and my friend had just gotten lost and we saw your fire” played Zerynn sweetly.
“She’s holding a baby she’s harmless” said one of the men quietly
“Don’t underestimate a woman, last time we underestimated a woman Lord katlyenn beat us up. If this so called harmless woman attacks we still have to protect lord katelyenn” said the other
“True” said the first guy
“Where are you two headed off too you guys look determined” said the women.
“Madey we can help you” she added.
“We are heading to a village known a phoenix's rise, would you happen to know where that is” said Aaron.
“Of course I know where that village is. What type of lord would I be if I didn’t know where my village was” said the women.
“By the way my name is katlyenn” said the women.
“Wouldn’t that be lord katlyenn” corrected Aaron.
“I am not interested in formal titles” said katlyenn.
“So I introduce my self a Katlyenn” she added.
“Over here this white haired guy is named Travis” said katlyenn.
“The blond haired guy is Garroth and the light brown haired person in Laurance” she introduced.
“They are my Guards” she added.
“Ohh cool how is there fighting skills” said Zerynn.
“Oww. why did you elbow me?” she complained.
“You never ask the lord about their guards, fighting skilled” said Aaron in a stern but quiet voice.
“How do you know so much about being a lord” said katlyenn.
“Uhh, what did I get myself into this time, well I was a lord at one point I just recently lost my village.” said Aaron with embarrassment.
“Ohh which one” said Katlyenn with a concerned look on her face.
“Have you herd any rumors about any village’s lately” asked Zerynn.
“Yeah about falcon-claw why” asked Katlyenn.
“Well I was th… the lord of that village” said Aaron as he teared up.
The guards grabbed their swords were on gard. There full attention was on the old lord of falcon-claw.
“What did people say about that Village” said Zerynn as she was about to tear up and lose it.
“O’kirses said that the lord went crazy and killed everyone in his village including his wife and son and they even said that the sister of the wife helped him with the act.” said Katlyenn.
“That's not true the rumors are wrong” said Aaron.
“The high priest Zayn killed my wife my son and my whole village so far every person that I have seen since the incident has mistaken me for a monster of a person” said Aaron.
Aaron looked to his left to see that Zerynn was no longer standing with him.
“Zerynn?” said Aaron.
“Guys where did she go?” asked Aaron.
“We need to find her she can't be out there alone by herself. What if she gets attacked, if lily were alive she would kill me, I just lost her sister.” said Aaron.
“We will find her we promise” said katlyenn.
“Garroth and travis you look on the left side Laurance this man and I will take the right” said katlyenn.
Off in the distance Zerynn was following the voice of someone saying her name.
“Zerynn it's me” the voice finally said.
“Lily” Zerynn asked.
“Yeah its me” Lily said.
Lily was standing right in front of Zerynn.
“Wait you have a purple eye” said Lily.
“Yeah. Do you know what it means” asked Zerynn.
“Of course I do I am the one who studied it, it means that you have full control of your powers as realm breaker” said Lily.
“Ohh I will tell Aaron that's what it means” said Zerynn.
“Zerynn” scrambled Aaron. As he was running around looking for Zerynn.
“WHERE ARE YOU?” katlyenn added.
“ I got to go, see you around madey”. Said Zerynn to her sister.
“Yeah I will ask you a favor next time I see you okay” said Lily.
“Okay” said Zerynn one last time to her sister.
“ I love you” she added.
“ I love you too” replied Lily
“OVER HERE” said Zerynn.
“Why did you run off like that” asked Aaron.
“I thought that I heard my name being called so I wandered off to find the person” said Zerynn.
“did you find them” asked katlyenn.
“yeah I did” said Zerynn.
“who were they” asked Aaron.
“Lily” said Zerynn quietly.
“What” asked Aaron.
“Aaron I know this sounds crazy but Lily was calling my name” replied Zerynn.
“No it doesn’t sound crazy at all this stuff is normal” said Katlyenn.
“Was jakub there with her” asked Aaron.
“No sadly he wasn’t” Zerynn said.
“That's okay lets head back to camp” said Aaron.
With the babies cradled in there arms katlyenn Zerynn and Aaron walked back to there camp and shortly behind tailed along was Laurance. When they got back to camp Travis and Garroth were already there.
“Sorry my lady we couldn’t find the girl.” said Garroth.
“It's okay we found her” said Laurance.
“Ohh well in that case can we go to sleep now” asked Travis.
“We need to build up the fire first” said Laurance.
“Who will bo watch for the night” asked Garroth.
“I will” said Aaron.
“you aren't even a guard, you were a lord shouldn’t we be protecting you” said Travis.
“No need, I protected myself when needed. You guys need your sleep” said Aaron.
Aaron walked over to Zerynn and said “good night Zerynn stay warm”.
“Good luck. Do you want me to stay up with you” asked Zerynn.
“No. Keep the babies warm if you need me I will be right there alright” Aaron said.
“Aright” agreed Zerynn
Zerynn set up her sleeping bag she crawled in it and huddled next to the babies to keep them warm and turned in for the night as long with Travis katlyenn Laurance and Garroth. When the woke up Aaron had already made breakfast for the group. He cooked some steak and some bread. Zerynn was the first one awake out of the rest of the group so like a decent person she took Aarons spot and watched the sun rise. Katlyenn was the second awake.
“Good morning” said Katlyenn.
“Good morning to you as well” Zerynn replied quietly not to wake anyone else in the group up.
“Did I wake you” asked Zerynn a little concerned.
“No. How long have you been up?” asked Katlyenn.
“Not long about two hours” said Zerynn.
“Who made breakfast” asked Katlyenn.
“Aaron did. I woke up just as he finished eating, he made some for the whole group” said Zerynn.
“Then I took his spot so he could get a couple hours of sleep” she added.
“So why are you guys traveling together” asked Katlyenn.
“To be honest I don't really know, I would like to think that because he cares but I don't know, he might just feel sorry for me because I have nowhere else to go my mother died a little before my sister and I don't know where or who my father is” explained Zerynn.
“Oh that's sad so you didn’t have the childhood that a lot of kids had” asked Katlyenn.
“No I didn’t really play outside and there was no other kids around and my sister was more concerned about helping me control my powers that play with me, but at least I had someone there to help me with them” said Zerynn.
“What type of powers do you have” asked Katlyenn.
“You ask a lot of questions don't you” asked Zerynn.
“ sorry is it bothering you and if it is I can stop.” said Katlyenn.
“No its not bothering me, to answer you question me and aaron and the to children have a power known a realm breaker, that's what we are known as and that's what most people call us, that's what a purple eye means and I saw it in your face that you were going to ask that so I answered.” said Zerynn.
“Why doesn’t Aaron have a purple eye” asked Katlyenn.
“He doesn’t have full control over his powers yet” answered Zerynn
“One last question. What's your children's names.” asked Katlyenn.
“My brothers name is Conor and the other one is named shelby she is my daughter and she is adopted” answered Zerynn.
“Good for a second I thought you gave birth to them and then I was about to say you are too young to have children” said Katlyenn.
“Noted” said Zerynn.
“Good” said Katlyenn’
“Why did you want to choose to live in phoenix's rise” asked katlyenn.
“One of my stepdads well actually conors dad visited there and said it has the most magics and witchcraft users, is that still true” asked Zerynn.
“Yeah it is still true, you will fit in just fine and plus you probably would make a great guard if you ask everyone how there fighting skills are, and plus we have shadow knights in my village two” said Katlyenn.
“Aren't they supposed to be dangerous” asked Zerynn.
“Not all of them only the ones who are in rule of the shadow king the others are either spies or they hate being a shadow knight, Laurance hates being a shadow knight, but he still going on with his life I mean he as a great husband he’s here with us its garroth over there, but I don’t think Garroth knows that he's a shadow knight though” said Katlyenn
“He doesn’t I just couldn’t bring myself to tell him yet” said Laurance.
“If I remember correctly Realm breakers are descendants of Shad the destroyer who is the shadow lord, so don’t expect me to protect you,” said Laurance
“I won't I can take care of myself” said Zerynn.
“I am sure you can” said Laurance.
“Laurance it doesn’t matter what you won't do you will protect her if I say so” said Katlyenn sternly.
That woke up Garroth Travis and Aaron.
“Whats going on” asked Garroth.
“Laurance was being stubborn again” said Katlyenn.
“Laurance honey STOP being so stubborn and hotheaded.” said Garroth.
“I was a fault to I was being stubborn and hotheaded as well” Zerynn confessed.
“Whats going on” asked Aaron even more confused and concerned than the last.
“Why did you call him honey” asked Aaron.
“We are a couple” said Garroth clearing the air.
“Ohh that make sense” said Aaron.
“By the way I made breakfast” said Aaron.
“Thanks but no thanks” said lorracne
“Gosh darn it Laurance you will eat the food and you will like and if you don't eat the food I will make Garroth feed you the gosh darn food” screamed katlyenn.
“Okay I will eat the food, is it poisonous” Laurance asked.
“Zerynn and I aren't dead are we” Asked katlyenn.
“I bet you Aaron is hurt just by you saying that” said Garroth.
“Aaron I am sorry for his behavior he is not a morning person” explained Garroth.
“It's okay neither is Zerynn”commented Aaron jokingly.
“ Accualy she was quite nice to be around this morning I got to know her a little better” said katlyenn.
“Maybe since we are low on guards she will take a position as guard” added katlyenn.
“ hows her fighting skills” asked Travis.
“I deserved that I am sorry I questioned you last night on your fighting skills last night” said Zerynn as she reached into her pockets to warm her hands. She found a note in her pocket that she had never remembered putting in there. She opened it up and it read
Dear baby girl,
I am sorry that I didn’t tell you who your father was he was just a bad person and I didn’t want you to know that about him. Your father’s name was Hayden and he was a werewolf which means that you are part werewolf. Actually you and Lily are both part werewolf. Again I am sorry that I didn’t tell you this before but it's better late than never. But I am so glad that you took a liking to conor’s dad when he was around but he isn’t and he is with me in the afterlife he and I love you so very much.

“My father was a werewolf and his name was Hayden” said Zerynn to herself in a whisper.
“That explains a lot” said Laurance in a mean voice.
“Hey watch it” said Zerynn in a stern voice
“IF YOU DON’T LIKE ME GO AHEAD AND SAY IT TO MY FACE” added Zerynn.
“FINE I WILL I DON’T LIKE YOU I THINK YOU'RE DANGEROUS” said Laurance.
“GOOD I DON'T LIKE YOU EITHER” screamed Zerynn.
“Look the two hotheads are at it again” commented Travis.
“Bud out Travis” said Katlyenn.
“Okay we are going to head to phoenix's rise and you to are going to be separated Aaron and Zerynn and travis are going to be with me and Laurance you are going with Garroth you will stay behind me.” said Katlyenn
“Yes my lady” said Laurance.
“I understand” added Garroth
“Again I am sorry for Laurence's attitude” said Garroth.
“Its okay its not you who needs to apologize it's Laurance” said Katlyenn
“But he will do that when he is good and ready” added Katlyenn.
“My lady I am sorry for my attitude towards Laurance it was really disrespectful and out of line” said Zerynn.
“Apology accepted” said Katlyenn.
“Let's head out’ said katlyenn
After they packed up camp they headed off towards the village of phoenix rise.
