The sinking ship

One sunny and warm day my friends and I were swimming on a cruise ship and Mac was in his room working on his evil plan to kill all of kassie’s friends and then to kill kassie. But he would have to do that last. Mac does not know that Jatin is her best friend and Mac’s evil plan was to kill all of kassie’s best friends first. Latter that night my friends and I heard a big thud. And the ship began to tilt and then we all knew that the ship was sinking I thought what about Frances. But my guess that the 3rd floor was already filled with water. So I hurried over to Jatin’s room and knocked door and he answered looking like a bed head. But that was normal. I said “did you hear the big thud… we have to get Frances out of the 3rd floor before it gets totally filled with water” I said.  And then when we got to the 3rd floor it was up to our waste and in the kitchen we found Frances and the water was up to his chest.  Then when we got to the 5th floor Jatin trip over my foot and he fell on the step and then I fell down to the stairs Intel I hit the wall and that hurt vary bad but then I got back up and then I had to go up the stairs again and it was very hard because it was tilted and when I got to the 5th floor again… Jatin was passed out at first I thought that he was dead but then I heard him breathing. When I tried to wake him up it was hard to wake him up. When I finely woke him up he said  “what happened “ then to worry him I said that the ship was sinking and know we need to get Ivan out of the boat.  The 5th floors water level was to our ankles and then I felt the ship sink a little more and then it was too out knees and that worried us I told Jatin to go get our friends and class mates wile I get Ivan… and then he said okay I will, and get all of your valuables that you care about and then I will meet you on the 7th floor and I also told him to be careful.  When he was gone I ran to find Ivan and he was working at the coffee shop and the water was up to his ankles. Then I said “come on the ships sinking and we need to go now” then we meat Jatin an all of our classmate on the 7th floor and they where all scare except Mac that made him look like he sunk the ship and that made me not like him even more than I did before then we took a life boat to the nearest island and then Jatin called the air flight department to find us we were on Hawaii on one of the islands where there is no people except us all 33 of us on one island okay well there is 2 adults so there for there would be 35 of us and that was bad because it was a rather small island.  And the rest of the night we all heard screams and panics coming from the boat as it was sinking and it was scary for all of us except Mac, and he had a smirking grin on his face. Before we had got off the ship I had to run and get my cousins Mj and Jah sometime’s Jah is mean to me.

3/28/15 and 3/29/15

The very next two day

The next day we were going to make shelter and we made a group to get some bamboo, so me and Inatye and Jatin set of to get wood to make a shelter and when we got back...we made a fire and by that time it was starting to get dark and the bugs were coming out, and they started to bite us and it didn’t feel that great. The rest of the night was not that cofterabule everyone had trouble sleeping. Including me!!! it was chilly in the mornings# way to cold in the mornings everyone was freezing cold. The next morning we all made blankets out of palm tree leaves and coconut fur we made pillows out of sand and palm tree leaves. When we where done with that we started building one big shelter that took ten trees long and ten trees wide. It would take us 7 days to build that shelter and make a lot of rooms.

 

                                                        We have a secret hiding spot in the tree house that looks like a creepy mine that, Jatin keeps 2 identical back packs… one filled with tools and the other filled with dynamite. Because he has a secret plan to take out Mac forever.  

3/30/15

The big explosion

Today Jatin is going to take Mac out for a “walk” or aka the end of his life. So early this morning Jatin woke me up and said that he was going to take Mac for (walk) with his decoy back pack with… dynamite. So the I got up and said good luck (because I knew what was going on).  After like 3 hours have passed Jatin came back with this look on his face……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. screamed at the top of his lugs if not louder,

And now we are down to 34 people on this island and we came to an agreement that we wont explode any more of them at all.

Come to think of it we are here and they said that this ship would not sink… but also come to think of it they said that the titanic couldn’t sink but it did so I don’t know why in the heck we trusted this ship?

Then I whet to Jatin room and I said (why why why) did we trust that stupid new baot that they said wouldn’t sink but it did. And then I slap him on the face because it was his Idea to go on a cruise for my birth day. And we got 34 people stranded on this stupid island.  But it hsd s nice beach and warm calm water to swim in and it has some fish that are pretty. But we have to live off of them. When we get back home and we get asked how did you all survive? Jatin and I are going to say we did not all survive one of are members died the third day we were on the island and his name was                                                      Mac happygood

Then the news reporters’ said “well his parents must be really sad that he is gone?” ohhhh those people… ohh I mean bob and Joe happygood. Yeah they must really sad that he is gone. ( That was sarcasm. )

But I am coming back to the real world now and we are still stranded on a stupid island after a ship wreck and also with 32 worrisome people and it suck so I decided to get away from the people and the shelter and started to explore the island and map it.                                                                                                                      

then I left and I found some amazing things… a fresh water waterfall and a rock shaped like a scull.

Short story game rules.

1. You should have a fairly big group of 3 or more people.
2. You have only 2 minute to wright your part of the short story and this story may go as long as you need it to to make the ending good and the characters to come more alive.  You only read the paragrah that was done by the player before you.  The two minutes gives you time to read and then wright.
3. Take turns on your turn you get your free sprit to wright what ever you want.
4. You can not go back and edit other peoples wrighting.
5. When you finish your part ( thats when your 2 min is up or when your paragraph is done) you end it with a … then you pass what ever you are wrighting on or if you are not than just tell the next person its there turn.(make sure to go counter clockwise)
6. When to story is done find the best person at reading aloud to read the story out loud if you are wrighing or typeing it.

Fun places to do this kind of story telling did.

1. Around the camp fire with your friends and family members.
2. When the power is out.
3. Sleep over with friends.

This is the perfice game for people that want to expand there wrighting creativity. This is also a great game if you need to post a blog post and you got one done boom publish and post. But this game can be done any where and with any one  ( family friends strangers ect. But i higly recomend playing with people you know). This is also a great why for family and friend boanding time.

This is a story that my family and I wrote when we had a power outage. What my family and I did was we played a game where we passed around my laptop to create here story. We based all the characters on our family and family friends. If you want to know the rules to the game in another blog post and you and your family can make your own story. The escape

A stormy Knight was upon us…. we had been running all day to escape the evil clutches of the stormy Wizard. This wizard had cast a spell upon the kingdom that blanketed every inch of our once fair land in darkness. Daytime was only kept track of by the ringing of bells from the village square. Three bells singled dawn. Four bells signalled mid day, and 5 bells signalled evening.

The need for this time tracking…. system is so those would know when to rise and when to go to bed. In the darkness when evening hits the Evil Wizards minion force emerges from the forest. When they come into contact with you, they drop fireflies on you that attracts the evil…. Queen. Her name was Shannon. Three of the queen servants were named Kassie, Mikey, and Belle. The evil Wizard cast this spell because Kassie Mikey and Bell escaped the evil Wizard and the queen and she wanted them back…  because she didn’t have anyone to fill her water for her or shine her cowgirl boots. That means she has to get up off of her thrown and do it herself.

Her favret daughter Shelby would do it for her but she is just a puppy soon to be the new evil queen of the forest empire.

Suddenly Kassie, Mikey, and Belle heard five bells; signalling that night had fallen. The quickly took shelter for the evening inside a cave. The cave entrance was hidden by a large rotten log. Inside the cave they could feel a warm breeze that would push and pull the air around them.

Being that the trip was adventurous and curious they ventured deeper into the cave. With each step they took they warmth of the air rose in temperature and the once fresh smelling air was replaced with a fouling stench that strangled your nostrils. As they continued into the depth they thought that their eyes had adjusted to the darkness but soon it was clear that light was starting to emerge from within the depths of the cave.

The sound of large breaths was now very present as they started to slowly inch their way further into the cave… as they continued on the cave walls closed in on them. Soon they were belly crawling towards the warmth and light.

Kassie was unsure if they should continue on, she felt that they were leading to a more horrible doom then they escaped from. She turned to go back, and all she could see is the evil green eyes of the minions chasing after them. She then advised her fellow escapees to hurry up they were being followed.

Meanwhile the Evil Queen Shannon became thirsty, she tried teaching her favourite Shelby how to fetch her water. She had just mastered this tasks when one of the evil Wizards minions reported to her the location of the escaped slaves. She sent the minions along with her favourite Shelby to go after them and bring them back, if they resisted, Shelby had the authority to bite as necessary.

After what felt like forever of inch worming along the cave the trio emerged into a room filled with a bog burping up the foul stench. The light that they were seeing came from the depths of the bog…..the sun comes up.After the night was over they went back to the evil Queens layer to get Shelby before the evil queens torching her. so they work up bright and easy to go get Shelby. On the way they meet some people who will join them there names were Nicki Justin and Maddy. They were going to help Mikey, Kassie, and belle. So the six of them went to go get Shelby. When they got to the evil queens layer it was night time the five bells had rung and every one went to sleep but Kassie Mikey belle Nicki Justin and Maddy they were going to get Shelby back. Shelby hated the evil queen so when the six of them whet in the layer shelby did not bit them insated shelby said “are you here to take me?”
“Yes we are .”said belle…..

“But not to the evil Queen” said kassie

“ we are going to take you with us” said mikey.

We were just going to go into the forest near by. This forest wasn’t just any forest this forest had giant spiders in it and they only attack the people who arnt invited in by the unicorns but kassie has a special bound with the unicorns (long story, also this is a story for another time) so the were atomaiclly let in word was passed around form spider to spider and scince the Evil queen Shannon was dathly afaid of spiders they escaped there they buildt a humugas tree house and with out the evil queens survants to kill all the spiders they live happliy ever after.

Realm Breakers #3

The First Destination (3)

Zerynn, Aaron, and the two babies Conor and Selby have been traveling for two whole days. They are hungry, tired and \cold. They haven't seen an animal in hours and are starving and the fact that there in the middle of nowhere is not helping that they are hungry and mad at each other. They keep looking in the distance to see if there is a village, or a safe house but after many hours of traveling there is still nothing, nothing at all no safe house no village no nothing.

“Anything?”  Aaron asked.

“ Nope. Nothing, nothing at all.” said Zerynn with frustration.

“No, there is still nothing around us. We aren't even close to a village, let alone a safe house. We are also running low on food and supplies, so if you see a cow or something,please kill it. Then maybe we can eat something for dinner.” Aaron said angrily.

“Why can’t you kill it you're the one that doesn’t have two children sleeping in your arms” questioned Zerynn angrily.

“Do I have to do everything around here”mumbled Aaron.

“No you don’t if you have forgotten i have done most of the caring of the heavy things hence the two children i am cringing” argued Zerynn.

“I guess you win for now but i will get you next time. Sakdjfaja” mumbled Aaron as he walked in front of Zerynn trying to get a lead off of her just incase he found an animal that he could kill and skin so they could make a camp and eat.

But the patience that Zerynn and Aaron had were running low and everyone was getting hangry. When suddenly off in the distance they saw a shack that was kinda old looking and kinda crooked it also wasn’t very big, but it would last a night. As they got closer, the shack became bigger and more alive with each step. Sure enough, it looked like there were people living in the shack. As they approached the front door, they stopped and stared at each other the had realised that the house was slanted backwards as if this house was made by hand. Finally Zerynn,y knocked, An Elderly woman, in about her late 70’s, answered the door.

“How may I help you dearies?” asked the old woman.

“ Hi, maam. How are you this evening?” charmed Zerynn.

“ I am good. How may I help you?” asked the old woman.

“We are looking for a place to stay tonight. We are hungry and tired and haven’t eaten or slept in two days. Could you please help us?” Zerynn charmed again.

At that moment Shelby started to cry. The old woman said, “Aww you have babies with you. Of course I will help you. Come in, come in..”

“Please make yourselves at home” added the old woman.

“Thank you so much.” said Zerynn.

“What a nice place you have here.” Zerynn charmed.“Thank you so much deary.” said the old woman

“How many children do you have with you?” asked the old woman, while cooking dinner.

“I am traveling with two children.” answered Zerynn.

“Oh. AndAnd the man over there must be the father of  both of them?” asked the woman, looking concerned.

“No.” replied Zerynn.

“One is my baby brother and the other is my daughter, which I’ve just adopted.” added Zerynn.

“Oh really! That makes a lot more sense, since you don't look a day older than seventeen and that man looks a few years older than you.” said the old woman.

“I am actually twenty.” said Zerynn.

“Ohh, well you look pretty young miss, your age fooled me there for a second let me get my glasses so i can see you better” said the old woman.

The old woman had gotten up and grabbed her glasses and she had realised that Zerynn did indeed look about nine-teen or twenty is twentyish. But then her attention was drawn to the reddish blond headed baby in Zerynns arms.

When the food was done, the old woman gave it to Zerynn and Aaron. As they ate Zerynn let the old woman hold the two children.

“Hello you sweet little ones.” said the old woman to the little kids.

Conor started to laugh for no apparent reason and everyone just sat there in Aw.,.replied

“Oh my, Lord said Zerynn.

“He just giggled.  He has never done that before.” she added.

“How precious a baby's first laugh is always so precious..” said the old woman

“Oh by the way, how is your steaks?” asked the old woman.

“Pretty good.” said Aaron.

“These are the best steaks I have ever had.” charmed Zerynn.

The lady had wanted to play cards with them so they did they played hand and foot and Zerynn being super luck had won the whole game, but after playing a hole five rounds they had went to bed . Zerynn and Aaron had stayed the night at the old woman's place, ate a big meal for dinner and a big breakfast. Then the old woman set them off in the morning with some extra food from the night before just in case they got hungry again.

The Adventure Begins (2)

“Aaron, AARON!!! Get over here, QUICKLY! “ screamed Zerynn, as she held her sword up to the awful man's throat. Aaron’s steps sounded behind Zerynn and she spoke, not daring to look away from the masked man, “This man is telling me that the pendant that he gave your Jakub can only be activated by Realm Breakers and ONLY…. Realm Breakers are immune to this pendant.” she said to Aaron, pausing as she spoke to swallow back tears.

“Not only that but you have to be a descendant of Shad the Destroyer to be a Realm Breaker.” said the man, his mask  rising suggesting that  a cruel smile must have formed underneath the mask.

“What's your name?” Zerynn asked the mysterious man that had a mask over half of his face.

“Not telling.  The only thing that I am telling YOU is why I did what I just did child,” said the man. Then he turned from Zerynn’s blade as if it wasn’t being held to his throat and walked off.

He walked in the direction of the Continental Capitol: O’krsis.

Zerynn growled and ran after the mysterious masked man as he walked away. Yet, before Zerynn could get too far Aaron stopped her by grabbing her wrist tightly. Preventing her from killing the man on the spot.

The man turned around and said, “Come at me with your sword again and  I will kill everyone in your family, or the rest at least” he laughed darkly.

Zerynn screamed at him, “ YOU ALREADY KILLED EVERYONE THAT I HAD LEFT!”  

“Your father still lives near here I will kill him if you're not careful,” the man said, pulling the syllables of care-ful in a sing-song teasing way.

“GO AHEAD YOU MONSTER! HE ABUSED ME, LILY AND MY MOTHER, SO GO AHEAD AND KILL HIM!” screamed Zerynn her words choked with emotion.

“Fine, then I will kill your baby brother instead,” the masked man threatened.

“What kind of sick person, would threaten a baby?” Aaron muttered darkly emphasizing the word sick like it was poison.

“The high priest of O'Krsis, that's who he is. I also know his name is Zayn.” said Aaron with a weak voice.

“You are right though, he is a sick person. All he wants is power,  He wants to know who all the Realm Breakers are and to take all their power.  That is the  power provided by a relic,” added Aaron.

They made a mistake by letting the man go. At that point when Aaron was watching Zayn leave, he had shed a tear. But Zerynn was shaken more by the whole scenario than Aaron.

I am a Realm Breaker? I mean I knew that I had powers but I didn’t know I was that special to have a power like this. The only person that could help me control my powers was Lily and she is gone. Why does my life have to be so terrible?T thought Zerynn to herself.

Aaron was asleep by that time and so was Conor. Zerynn usually stayed up late thinking to herself. It was dark and she felt overwhelmed with her thoughts, so she had to step outside. She put a hand in one of her pockets looking for a weapon, just in case Zayn came back. But all she found was a bandana with a note on it that said:

My dear sweet sister,

If you are reading this  it is because I told Aaron to put it in your coat pocket because I am dead. This was the bandana that you made for me when I moved out. Please remember to stay strong and learn not to be a hot head for me. People will get along with you better if you aren't. Anyway, please, for me, stay strong. If you need me, I will be in your heart, supporting your every move. Please use this as motivation to stay strong. If not for me, your family, whoever that may be.

If you are reading this, you are probably crying right now. Please remember crying isn’t for weak people, it's a sign of being strong for too long. I have known since you were very little what type of powers you have. I just want you to know you are a descendant of Shad the Destroyer and you are a Realm Breaker, which, can be a very scary thing, but it also can be a very great thing. Every time you caught me reading a book, I was doing research on your power and what it meant. Any way, I know you want to travel the world some day and I was going to say this in person. Just in case I haven’t said this yet, I wrote it in this note.

Go back to our old house. There is  a chest that is located under my old bed with all my research and some supplies for your upcoming adventures. Please take them all. If you don't I will be offended. It's very important to me that you take everything in that chest. It’s stuff I have collected that may be of use.  In my closet there is a black and red backpack with some clothes that might fit you, take that bag as well.   Everything in my room is yours now, so make certain to go through everything.  There is stuff in my room that may be of some value to you.

As soon as she was done reading the note she wiped her tears and quietly snuck out of Aaron's house.  She left Conor sleeping on the couch as she left for  her old house.   

When she got to her old house she reached for the key in her pocket. When she grabbed the key, she unlocked the door and walked into her house. She went straight into Lily’s room and to the chest that was filled with Lily’s research notes and other stuff that could have a great importance to Zerynn. There were things like… Lily's old journal, a wedding ring, a magic staff, flint and steel, and some dried apples. She grabbed everything that was in the chest, and walked over to Lily’s closet where she grabbed the red and black backpack that her sister told her about.  She put everything in the bag and looked through the small, but cozy, room that her sister used to live in. She found some weapons in the bottom drawer of the desk. Now she had a dagger, a knife,  a sword and a diamond locket with a picture of Lily and her in it.  She put the locket on and put the weapons in the backpack. The sword she put on her belt.

Then Zerynn went to her room and found her sleeping bag and more bandanas. She grabbed the black , white and purple ones and put them in her backpack. She went to the chest that was under her bed and grabbed all of her iron, diamonds, and her money.  She would be able to use the money and diamonds.  She could use them for new weapons, if needed. She put them in a small bag that she had in her closet. She went to the shed in the backyard and grabbed a hatchet and a pick and put them on her belt.

After she was done getting all the supplies and stuff she needed, she headed back to Falcon-Claw. It was around one-o’clock at night when she reached Aaron's house. When she was inside she walked into the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror for about a minute before she grabbed the purple bandana out of her backpack and put it on to  cover her face. She wanted to hide her face from the tragedy that  happened and to hide her past. She didn’t want to be known as the one who was left alone or lost.

At first light Aaron was awake, by then, , Zerynn had finally fallen l asleep reading the book her sister wrote for her. Aaron ate breakfast while watching her sleep and noticed that she wore a bandana around her eyes as if she was trying to hide them. That is when Aaron had to wake her up so he could ask her why she was wearing the bandana.

“Man you sleep in late.” said Aaron.

“Sorry, Lily  left a note for me to go get the  stuff she left for me.  She left me this research notebook about Realm Breakers and magic stuff.  I knew Lily always had a fascination for magic and wanted to know more about it ,  but I really didn’t know I was the reason for all her research.” said Zerynn.

“So you were up all night getting the stuff from your old house that your sister left for you and studied it  all in one night didn’t you,” said Aaron.

“Y-yes I did. Do you have a problem with that?” asked Zerynn in a snarky voice.

Aaron started to tear up “N..no. I..I don't have a problem with that. Just that’s what your sister used to do when your mom used a communication amulet to tell her that someone in her family had a problem with their powers. I can only assume that it was you they were talking about.” Aaron said.

“Yes, that is probably true. Here, look at the journal that I kept.  It has maps of all the places in the world and villages that need improvement and more population. It has information about  each village and who would fit in there.” Zerynn informed.

“So you kept a journal about all the places in the world?” Aaron asked.  “So you’ve been to all these places?” Aaron added.

“No my step dad asked Lily and me what we were interested in when we were younger. I looked up to this man, so I told him I wanted to travel the world like he did. So he gave me all these photos of places he'd been.” Zerynn answered.

“Phoenix's Rise is the place we would fit in the most. It has the most magic users and there are scalars (do you mean scholars?) there that can help us with our powers.” she added.

“Fine. We will set out first thing tomorrow. Let me get some supplies that we might need for the baby. I will also get some money for us and some clothes and weapons,” said Aaron.  

“OK. I have money just in case we run out. It's not much, but it's something at least. I am going to go exploring the village to see if we could use some of the supplies the other villagers had.” said Zerynn.

“ O..okay, I guess,” Aaron said, but he looked really sad.

“Oh and why are you wearing the bandana?” asked Aaron, as Zerynn was leaving the house.

“I am wearing it because I like it and I want to wear it ” answered Zerynn.

She’s trying to hide something,” Aaron thought to himself.

Zerynn looked in the houses and found potions that could be of some use later. She also found more money and diamonds. In one of the houses she found a living baby. She could only tell that the baby was alive because it was crying. Zerynn quickly took off her bandana and hushed the baby. She found it food, fed it quickly and then found a small blanket to put around the cold crying baby. The baby girl had found anew mother.

When Zerynn was done exploring and taking supplies, she went back to the house where Aaron and Conor were. The baby had started to cry again and this time she needed to be changed. Zerynn changed her into a clean diaper that she found lying in the house where she found the baby. She was still trying to decide on a cute name for the baby when it hit her. She was going to name the baby Shelby. It was the cutest girl’s name she could think of other than Lillith, which would  make her cry if she named her that, because that would remind her of her sister Lily. She went to find Aaron to show him her discovery of the new baby. When she got upstairs she realized that all of the doors were closed. She went to the first door and knocked. After no response she opened it, but no one was there. On the next door, the same thing happened. It kept happening until, finally the last door she knocked on. She asked if she could come in and show him something that she found in one of the village houses.

“Aaron, I was in one of the villager’s old houses and I found this baby that was still alive.” Zerynn said.

“Why did you sound scared when you said that? “ Aaron said.

“Because I don't know you that well and I didn’t want her to be left behind.” said Zerynn.

“ I would never leave a baby alone and abandoned. What kind of sick person do you think I am?” asked Aaron.

“I..i’m sorry. I didn’t mean to offend you. I’m going to go to bed now.” said Zerynn awkwardly.

“Remember we are leaving at first light. See you tomorrow. Good night.” Aaron said.

Zerynn couldn’t sleep no matter how hard she tried. She tried everything; reading, writing, but she just couldn’t sleep. When Aaron woke up In the morning they ate a small breakfast. They grabbed some extra dried food and put it in the same bag as the dried apples from the night before. They looked at a map, grabbed the bags and some extra supplies, then headed out the door in the direction of Phoenix's Rise.

Prologue (1)

Some time ago, maybe about six years now, there was a village in need of help. But most importantly there was child in need of help. This child’s name was  Zerynn. Zerynn was a special child as she was a descendant of Shad the Destroyer.

Zerynn’s mother was so in love with her baby girl that she thought that she would never bring any harm to others around. This was mostly because of Zerynn’s older sister, Lily, who was a big help in the process of helping Zerynn control her growing powers. As Lily reached the age of maturity, she got married to the Lord of Falcon-Claw and had a kid. Zerynn’s mom had yet another child, Zerynn’s first and only brother. But, shortly after giving birth, around a year or so after the little baby boy had arrived to the face of the earth, Zerynn’s mother passed away after fighting a sickness. This left young Zerynn with the responsibility of taking care of the toddler with an empty and broken soul.  

She finally had enough with the empty and sad life she was living and left to go live with her sister in Falcon-Claw, which wasn’t far from where she lived. She locked up her house, took her key so when she traveled she had a safe house, and set off on a journey to Falcon-Claw with food and her younger brother Conor in tow.

On her adventure she encountered many valleys that winter still clung to, making it difficult to find fresh food and the fact that she had her baby brother with her slowed her down. But eventually, in three days time, Zerynn reached the sprawling village of Falcon-Claw. She went and found the Lord's house and knocked on the door. A man with short black hair who looked to be  in his mid-twenties  answered and asked, “May I help you miss?”

Zerynn answered quietly, swinging her reddish-black hair in front of her face, “Yes. Is Lily here?”

“Yes she is, let me get her for you.” The man replied before spinning around and shouting into his house “LILY THERE IS SOMEONE AT THE DOOR FOR YOU!”

Then, from upstairs, a woman entered the room. It was Lily.

“Zerynn…,” Lily whispered, as if it was almost to impossible to believe.

“Lily! Please, I need a place to stay and there is nowhere, no one, I can go to,” Zerynn said. A single tear quickly shooting down her cheek.

“Zerynn,” Lily said, voice tinged with worry.

“Yes?” Zerynn cautiously asked.

“I-is mom okay?” Lily stuttered, realizing the answer before it was spoken.

“Mom passed away almost a year ago, Lily. T-this is our baby brother, Conor,” Zerynn blubbed as her voice grew thick and tears started swelling up. She was going to cry,

Lily rushed over and hugged her younger sister tightly whispering over and over again that things would be alright and that they would find something for Zerynn’s living conditions. That night, the man who had answered the door helped Lily serve dinner and told Zerynn that she could stay, at least for one night, until they found a better solution.

When Zerynn woke up to the light of the steadily rising sun she found a small child at her bedside. She might not have realized the boy was in the room if he hadn’t said in a small squeaky, very fast, voice, “Hello! My name is Jakub I  am the son of the Lord of Falcon-Claw and his wife. Why are you wearing similar clothes to my dad? He never puts a shirt on, has holes in his pants and always wears that stupid black hoodie... And who's the baby over there!? Is he yours? How do you know my mother? Can we trust you? Why does your name sound like my dad’s? ”

Zerynn shushed the child, right before she got lost in the sea of his questions, and replied, ”Hello Jakub. To answer your questions:   I like this style of clothing, the baby over there is my, and your mother's brother. I  am your mother's sister and, yes, you can trust me. I don't know your father's name yet but, if it sounds like mine his name must be Aaron.”

As soon as she said that the father gave her a strange look. The look of questioning like: how in the heck did you guess my name. Then he said, quietly with a tone dripping with surprise, “That is correct my name is indeed Aaron. How did you get that so fast without me introducing myself to you properly?”

Zerynn shrugged slightly and said simply, “Skills…and a couple of hints.”

“Jakub, please go outside and play with your friends,” Aaron said sweetly to his son.

“Okay papa!” Jakub quickly exclaimed, clearly thrilled to be able to leave the huge townhouse.

As Jakub finally left the house to go find his friends, Zerynn and Aaron talked to each other and got to know one another a bit more. When Jakub returned from the outdoors he was holding a pendant. Zerynn peeked outside and saw a man. The man was fairly unnerving with hair black as onyx and covering his right eye, the left a pale ice blue, and all but his left eye covered in a mask. What she saw of this man made him look to be in his early twenties, about twenty-one or so. Zerynn ran to get her sister, but by the time she got up the steep stairs the little boy had already given his father the pendant. Everyone in the village was dead where they had been standing.   In shock, she just stood there in confusion over what had just happened.  When she realized the event that had occurred, Zerynn’s legs gave out and she just collapsed to the ground and cried. Zerynn, Conor and Aaron had survived but Lily and Jakub had not, they were laying on the floor and still looked almost life like, yet their pale gray eyes said otherwise. Their pale gray eyes had no life or light left in them. Zerynn grabbed her sword from where it was  leaning against  the couch. Realizing what had occurred, she shoved Conor into Aaron’s arms and ran outside to find the suspicious man. When Zerynn got to the man she demanded he tell her what he had done. Looking for anything to get Lily and  Jakub back. He told her, with dark laughter lacing his words, that the pendant could  only to be activated by a Realm Breaker and that it would kill all who lived in a village except other Realm Breakers.  Then he laughed as he continued and told her that the only reason she remained was because of her powers as a Realm Breaker. That meant there were three. Zerynn, Aaron, and the little brother who had barely gotten to live before so much death surrounded him. Zerynn’s now only sibling, Conor.
