Chapter four (Shelby’s p.o.v.)

Conner and I sat together in science which is our third period class. Blaze sat next to Ashley well you know that they are dating so why not to sit next to each other. Mrs. Peter was that type of teacher who knew everything. I hate people who think they know everything, I could see Ashley was getting mad because she will turn around and make this mad face like I’m going to punch someone. So the whole class time me and Ashley, Blaze, and Conner passed notes, most of hers said that she hates this class. After that was lunch time thank god I was so hungry I could eat a donkey. I take that back I was hangy. Before I went to the lunchroom I got my lunch. Ashley wasn’t at her locker so I thought so had got her lunch and I was just late. When I got to the lunch room I saw that Ashley was just going to have school lunch. I sat down with Ashley and then everyone had saw where me and Ashley had sat down and move to sit with us. We sat with a lot of people I can’t even remember all of them but we sat with Ashley boyfriend Blaze and the rest of the gang came over which was Conner, Cole, Izzy, Jessie, Kass, Alex, Tyson sat down with us. When Jackie came and saw that we were sitting and her spot she was mad she came running to are table and said “Hey what are you doing at my table?”

“Um.. sitting what do you think I'm doing?” Ashley said with the sass. We could see when Ashley said that Jackie got mad even madder when she saw Blaze kiss Ashley and said good job her face looked no different from a cherry.

“Well whatever you doing you are sitting in my table so GET UP!” Jackie said in angry at Ashley. Jackie made it look like she wanted to take Ashleys head and rip it off.

“first off Jackie you have to get to the table first if you want it, oh and one more thing you snooze you loses, just letting you know!’ Ashley said still being sassy. Jackie walked of and most of  her friends followed her but when she sat down she saw that catelyn and carrie had sat down with Ashley and me and they are from Jackie's friend group but they were only her friends because they were close friends with Blaze before they were dating.

“Hey Dusten” said Carrie. Not realizing that none of the people he was sitting with new his real name.

“Your name is Dusten” asked Ashley.

“Yeah” Blaze said.

“You too are dating you should have known his real name” Kass said.

“Shut up Kass you didn’t even know his real name” said Catelyn

“I know but she’s dating him” said Kass.

“Jackie didn’t even know his real name and we were the only people that did and we came up with the nickname Blaze because he has red hair and blue eyes” said Carrie.

After lunch we went to our lockers to put away our lunch boxes when I say we I mean I put my lunch boxes away and got my stuff for the next class and I went to my next class. I wanted to find Ashley to see how she feels about Blaze's real name being Dusten. It seems like she’s mad but I don’t really know. ”Hey Shelby what's your next class? Is your next class with Ashley? I really need to talk with her!” Blaze was asking as the walked to class.

“My next class is Mr. peter and yes Ashley is in my next class why do you want to know?” I asked very curious. It seems like Blaze or Dusten wanted to break up with her ‘cause if the he did I would slap the living hell out of him.

“I just- I don’t know?” Blaze said as the walked into the classroom and saw Ashley and Jackie talking it seem like Jackie wanted to say something mean to her but didn’t. I walked over there to see what was going on and it seem like Ashley was saying sorry about what happened at lunch and Jackie didn’t seem that mad anymore and wanted to be friends.  Ashley sat next to Blaze which made her a little happy and I got to sit next to Conner which made me really happy and her seeing me happy made her grin like wild hyena after that we giggled like a bunch of them as well. We were just getting into the math part when the bell rang.

“Miss Woods you are leaving!” the speaker said. They were talking about Jackie. Jackie looked up at the teacher.

“Why I am leaving my mom and dad didn’t say anything about me leaving?” Jackie was asking herself when she was heading out the door going to her locker.

“Anyway to get back to class! I was saying that you are going to get with-” Mr. Peter was saying when I stopped listening  to him. I didn’t know what to do until Conner asked me if I wanted to be is partner . I didn’t know what we were doing so I said sure I wanted to be with Ashley to see why she was saying sorry to her. I guess I will have to wait until we go home.

Johnny’s OTP (14)

When Dallas walked in the house carrying me, Johnny jumped up and almost jumped off the walls. He ran over to me and Dallas, examining my hands but looked kinda disappointed when there was no ring on either off my hands. When Johnny got out of the way, Dallas walked over to the couch and put me on it. He walked over to the cabinet where Aunt Lily keeps all her booze and grabbed the first bottle he could find. He opened it and poured it into a glass, read it and sighed.

“Here, drink this it should help with the pain,” he said.

“Dallas I’m fine. Really, I don't need this,” I argued.

“Remember the last time you argued? Who won?” Dallas said.

“Did you beat my cousin?” Keith barged in.

“No he didn’t. I just gave up,” I defended.

“Ohh good,” Keith confirmed.

“Drink,” Dallas ordered.

“Fine. What is it?” I asked.

“Moonshine,” he whispered.

“Moon what?” I asked.

“Moonshine,” he said.

“Eww. Do I really have to drink this?” I complained.

“Yes. You drank all the whiskey the night your gang got here,” he said. “Now drink.”

I took the glass from Dallas' hands and drank it. It wasn’t that bad. I could tell it was supposed to be apple cider flavored. It had cinnamon in it and it wasn’t that bad. It wasn’t as strong as the drinks I was used to, but it worked the pain went away after a few more drinks. Let’s just say that after six shots of the moonshine I was out like a rock. I woke up to Jayce and Johnny talking. I pretended like I was asleep so I could eavesdrop on them

“Why do you Ship Dallas and Two-Bit?” asked Jayce.

“Because I see the way that Dallas looks at Cola and the way she looks at him,” explained Johnny.

“That doesn’t mean anything,” Jayce talked sternly. Then I felt a warmth on my right. I looked over to that direction and I saw Dallas hugging me and sleeping. He looked peaceful. I got up and I slapped Jayce on the back of the head.

“Stop being jealous, and don't you dare talk to Johnny like that you hear,” I yelled, waking up Dallas. and Keith. Aunt Lily was at work so I didn’t really wake her up, she was gone.

“I wasn’t being jealous,” Jayce defended.

“Yes you were. Don’t you lie to me,” I argued.

“Fine. I was jealous, alright. I like you,” he confessed, which left me confused.

“Whats going on?” Dallas asked drowsily. I didn’t answer, I just walked outside to take a walk.

Remember the first night I came to Tulsa? Yeah, the boys that could have jumped me the first night my cousin saved me from them. Oh yeah well I saw them again, but this time I was the one drunk I had that moonshine bottle with me.

“Hey babe what's up?” the blonde one of the boys asked

I quickly took a shot of coffee to sober up. “Nothing's up leave me alone,” I said, still kinda tipsy. I quickly took another shot of coffee, but I realized that they still were around me and circling me like they did the first night that I came here. I put my hand back into my pocket and grasped the switchblade.

“Whatcha doing out here alone baby?” said the other one.

“Taking a walk,” I said, kinda angry.

“Did you get beat up hon?” said the first one.

“No. What’s your name kid?” I asked both of them.

“My name is Denver,” said the second one.

“This here is Edward, you can call him Eddie,” said Denver.

One of the boys reached out his hand and I brought out my switchblade and switched it out. “Woah man. I was trying to be nice and introduce myself,” said Denver.

I stayed silent because I really was scared, and I’m never scared of anyone or anything. I guess the blonde guy really got to me. He was good looking, but he looked like he could take on my whole gang without getting a single punch.

“Hey, stop checking out Edward and come back to earth,” said Denver.

“What's your name?” asked Edward.

“Nick Kasye,” I replied, still kinda shocked.

I heard one of the boys gulp but I couldn’t tell which one it was. After I told them my name they both looked terrified. “Why do you guys look scared?” I asked them.

“Because you’re kinda a legend here. Everyone except your cousin knew you were some type of hard core hood,” explained Denver.

“I figured that out when I got here. He had no idea that I was a hood and then I stole his wallet,” I giggled.

They both laughed hysterically and told me to follow them.

Life Is Good!!(2)

I love my life, I live with my mom she's a hard working person and she makes a good amount of money but she has to support me and my brother, my brother takes music lessons because he like to play the piano and I play sports after sport and you have to pay a fee to participate in each sport and she has to pay for the classes so in reality she doesn’t have all that much money.Being a hood for me is really easy so I have a good life, but then again being a hood is a opinion based view point on weather or not it's hard or easy being a hood. If you ask the Nick Kasye gang they would say it’s in the middle if you ask the gang’s in Tulsa which I have been there by the way. They would say it was hard being a hood.

Why we went to Tulsa.(3)

Last year there was an incident that the Nick Kasye gang had, where Jayce who is no longer in the gang, got jealous over his best friend at the time Sal, because they were sleeping over at her house and she had a nightmare so he got really close to her to calm her down and they fell asleep really close to her. Anyway Jayce found out and there was a gang member fist fight that ended with Sal laying unconsens on the front yard of Nick Kasye’s house and her taking him home to his house and giving him rest while she ran off to Tulsa Oklahoma to live with her Aunt Lily I think her name was, and her cousin Keith. I would know that because we had to go get her and bring her back home.

School or Cut Class.(5)

It’s almost the end of september, the days are getting colder and then warmer then colder again. Edward has never been good at school but he try’s, his teacher’s watch him closely because he looks like the kind of hood that would be caught skipping class but get away with it. He’s never cut class before in his life there’s been times where he had to leave early to go home or something.

While the teachers watch Edward closely they leave me alone so I cut class all the time, but then again I’m the quiet type so they don’t even notice me. Edward is more of the loud type, and it drives all of his teachers insane, there has been times when he has come home late because he got detention for not shutting up when the teacher told him. He hates it when people tell him what to do or nag him to do something. If you nag him to do something he most likely won't do it until he wants to. If you tell him what to do in a demanding way he won't do it, but if you are polite to him even if he doesn't want to do it he most likely will do it because you were nice to him about asking him.

Me on the other hand if you ask me I wont do it well let me rephrase that, depends the person I won't do things same with nagging me to do things. That's the difference between me and Edward talk to him write he’s a pushover talk to me I can be a total prick depending who’s talking to me. But the thing with teachers they treat you better the more money you have so when a teacher asks Edward to do something he won’t do it, me on the other time is never in class cuz I cut all the time but edward make sure to take good notes and I copy off of him when he gets home. He always tells me when we have exams so I show up to classes these days because you can’t really make those up. Exams have always come easy to me so I always get a good grade on them but Edward never misses a day of school and he gets no higher than a low C on anything and that boy tries.

Girls and Girlfriends.(4)

I don't have a girlfriend but there is this girl I like, her name is Madyson. She has reddish yellow hair, in other words she’s strawberry blond she has a slim figure but she doesn’t look tough she looks abused and Tired all the time. She’s dating someone in the Debbie Josh gang so I don’t really have a chance with her right now if I remember correctly this boy’s name is Maxwell he has brown hair and a tanish white skin with a chocolate colored brown hair that is always messy. He’s a good looking kid, a prick but he’s good looking. Edward he has a girlfriend, she has black hair with a blue tinge and green eyes with a grey tinge, she has a slim figure but could easily kick someone's butt if they pissed her off. She’s playful and has a sense of humor, and that's what Edward looks in a girl, he thinks everyone is pretty until proven otherwise, and he's not talking about exterior beauty which is girlfriend definitely has but he's talking interior beauty which Morgan definitely is a ten in that, he’s real respectful of his girlfriends and he’s only had two her and another girl her name was Chelsi and she had reddish hair and caramel chocolate swirl shade of brown eyes but he was proven otherwise and broke up with her after they had been dating for a few months but Morgan came along and they have been dating since sixth grade.
