Hot water (11)

The first day of the job (11)

Edwards P.O.V
Today was the first day of the job that I got, which is at Shell gas station. I hate it but at least it’s some extra cash. I like cars, but I hate the way the smell of gasoline hits you strait in the nose, causing you a headache. I also hate the fact that this gas station is in the middle of the rich part of town, when I say middle I mean right next to the town square around all the malls. The only upside is that I get to watch all the girls go by, with there boyfriends looking like life isn’t bad. When everyone else in my town is struggling without family's or with families with drug or alcohol habits, or the kids with abusive parents.
The first day of working was long and tiring. It’s almost summertime too so  it got really hot and I couldn’t take off my shirt for both professional and personal reason. I mean if I did take off my shirt it would be good for business but I have a girlfriend and I don't need other chicks checking me out.
After work I hoped in my old beat up chevelle, and road home. When I got back to Denver's house I saw her and Denver scrapbooking on the kitchen table. She was on the phone with who knows but it was on speaker phone. I walked over to Morgan and hugged her from behind and kissed her on the cheek. I read on the phone it was Jordan.
“Hey Jordan” I quietly said into the phone not to hurt my girlfriends ears.
“Hey, Edward. I only assume that it's you” she mumbled.
“It is, how are you, any cute guys in Oregon” I asked.
“Edward you don’t need to ask that” Denver said punching me in the arm.
“Hey jordan you don’t have to answer that if you don’t want to “ Morgan said.
“Yes there are, his name is Felix” she replied.
“Ooh… tell me more” Me and Morgan said in unisine.
“Well he has pretty lake green eyes, People say that his eyes are new world green but they are darker” she explained,
“What's his last name” denver asked.
“G..gage” she stuttered.
“Hey Edward what your cousin felix’s last name again” Denver asked.
“Gage” I replied.
“I knew you wouldn’t like the fact that I thought your cousin was cute, He reminds me of one of my friends back home, he’s sweet and kind and has everyones back.” she ranted.
“He reminds you of Edward doesn't he” asked Morgan.
“Y.. yeah, H..he does” she stuttered.
“Well that's awkward, now ain't it” Denver said.
“Only if you make it awkward. That's what she looks for in a guy, thats what she like she is saying that she likes a curtain quality that I have and there is nothing wrong with that” I said.
“Yeah I do But…” she started to say.
“But what” I asked.
“He has a kid, her name is paris” she said.
“So he’s taken” Morgan asked.
“Well that's his fault he’s missing out” I said.
“No, he’s a single parent, as far as I know his Ex girlfriend left him with the kid and moved out of state” she explained.
“Oh” I said.
“I need some advice. What do I do Edward” she asked.
“Um… you need to help him and if that doesn’t have him fall for you I don’t know what will. All I know is if I were him. Which I’m not, I would need a lot of help” I advised.
“Hey Jordan my phone is about to die so I am going to have to let you go we will talk later” Morgan said.
“Love you Mor” said Jordan.
“Love you to joe” said Morgan.
That was the first time in years that Morgan I have talked to her.
“Why didn’t you tell her the truth” she mumbled.
“Because I didn’t want to make the conversation about me, when I was talking about her” I replied.
“ and besides I don’t think that I am ready to tell people yet other than the the three of us that already know” I added.
She just nodded in agreement. We were going to tell her when we were both ready. I looked at all the photos that were out in the photo album that they were scrapbooking and it was all of me and my family. With Felix, and what made me tear up was in one of the pictures, Felix was being held by my mother a few years before she was killed in that gang fight. My father was in another picture dated a year later and Me, Felix and my father were all playing in the backyard. Me and Felix were playing with blocks and my dad was working on a car that I couldn’t make out what type
But you want to know why I was really crying. It was not fully because I was looking at the pictures of my parents. It was more on the fact that my aunt and uncle in oregon didn’t want me around after my parents had passed away.
