Realm Breaker 12

The Lake (12)

He ran into the kitchen and grabbed the first aid kit picked up Zerynn and rushed her to the lake that was formed by glaciers so it was really cold, when they reached the lake Gene sat down on the lake’s shore and slowly took off Zerynn’s shoes and put her foot in the water.

“Thank’s” said Zerynn looking at the water instead of Gene.

“No problem, I saw the hole thing and I was there” he said.

Gene knew that Zerynn had a hard time thanking people he was the same way. He looked at the water the way Zerynn was and he noticed they way the trees reflected a greenish blue color and it showed the mountain grey white color and the flow of the melting glaciers from the mountaintop, and the sound of the water rippling from the ducks swimming.  

“Beautiful ain’t it” asked Gene

“yeah it's kinda cold tho” replied Zerynn

“You can take your foot out of the water now” Genes said.

As she took her foot out of the water Gene grabbed the bandages and wrapped her foot in it. Zerynn and Gene just stayed by the lake until the sunset, when they were done watching the sunset Gene picked up Zerynn and she laid her head on his chest, and he carried her to her house and knocked on the door and Aaron answered it.

“Zerynn I am so…, so sorry” Aaron apologized.

“It’s okay just don’t let him touch a blade ever again” Zerynn demanded.

“Okay now that you have made up where is her room she’s not as light as she lookes” Gene said.

“Down stairs” Aaron directed.

“Did you just call me fat” Zerynn said.

“No I just said the you’re getting heavy” Gene explained

He walked down the stairs almost tripping over the steps on the way down, he finally made to her bedroom where he laid her on the the bed and started to walk away when Zerynn asked if he could stay the night.
